The success of my role is tied very closely to the amazing Parker Arts team. As I was walking through the dressing room hallway to make sure everyone was in a safe place, the performer came out of the dressing room and asked “excuse me, how long is this going to last?” to which I replied, “The tornado?” and he answered “Yes!” I replied “I am sorry but I do not know how long the tornado is going to last.” To which he huffed heavily and went back into his dressing room. I have been working professionally in theater and performing arts for 28 years. Parker Arts values both of those aspects I was searching for significantly. When I saw the production manager position open at Parker Arts I applied and was offered the position. I was looking for something that was more community-oriented and a workplace that valued work-life balance. I used to work at the Peace Center in Greenville, South Carolina (a Performing Arts Center very similar to the Denver Center). When I first moved to Colorado from Greenville, South Carolina, at the end of 2017, I lived in Parker, but have since bought a house in South Aurora.
